How do I know the water will be safe to drink? AquaResponse systems are proudly manufactured in Canada by Envirogard and are designed to meet and exceed CSA safety standards. These systems are UV tested and certified by CSA Group to NSF/ANSI 61 and CSA B483.1 standards.
Is this technology proven to work? Yes. For more than 50 years, Envirogard, under the brand name Rainfresh, has been a leader in the water filtration and treatment industry in Canada and over 40 countries worldwide. Envirogard's innovative products provide millions of people around the globe with reliable solutions for safe drinking water. AquaResponse systems have been successfully deployed in numerous disaster response missions, delivering millions of litres of clean, safe drinking water to hundreds of thousands of individuals in need.
Do AquaResponse systems work with salt water? No, AquaResponse systems are not designed for desalination. They are specifically engineered to provide microbiologically safe drinking water from fresh surface water sources, such as lakes, rivers, ponds, and cisterns.
Are AquaResponse systems heavy and difficult to move? Not at all! AquaResponse systems are lightweight, compact, and highly portable. They can be easily carried by hand and relocated as needed, without the need for heavy equipment.
How are AquaResponse systems powered? AquaResponse systems operate on a 120V AC power supply, typically provided by a small generator. EPC offers comprehensive packages that include the generator and durable, rugged cases for transport and protection.
Does EPC assist with identifying potential water sources? Yes. EPC collaborates closely with clients to identify suitable water sources by conducting detailed community assessments and mapping.
How much water per person per day should we plan for? For drinking water alone, a minimum of 2 litres per person per day is recommended. However, when accounting for additional water needs such as food preparation, personal hygiene, and dishwashing, the minimum requirement increases to 4 litres per person per day. The capacity of our AquaResponse units is based on this higher standard of 4 litres per person per day.
Do you assist with distribution point planning? Yes. EPC can collaborate with clients to help create a distribution point plan.
Do you provide training and ongoing support? Absolutely! We are committed to ensuring that our clients are fully satisfied and confident in using our systems. We offer in-person, hands-on training in your community to ensure proper understanding and use of the AquaResponse systems.
Are cases provided? Yes, each AquaResponse option is a self-contained system that comes in a rugged, lightweight case that offers protection and portability.
What about warranty, spare parts and replacement parts? All AquaResponse units have warranty coverage. Spare and replacement parts are readily available.
What are some examples of threats to water supply? Catastrophic water loss can arise from a variety of scenarios such as: •Contamination of water sources. •Damage to essential water infrastructure. •Disasters such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, earthquakes and tsunamis. •Cyberattacks targeting critical infrastructure. •Prolonged power outages caused by cyberattacks, solar flares, or electromagnetic pulse (EMP) events.
